Here, you'll learn precisely how you can adjust the weights available to you based on your current situation.

For every single exercise, you have the option to indicate what weights are available to you. MyFitCoach needs this information so it can only suggest weights that you actually have on hand for each exercise when providing recommendations (reps/weight/RIR).

You have three options for entering the weights available to you:

Option 1: Series

Here, you enter the smallest possible weight in the "From" field. In the "To" field, you enter the highest possible weight, and in the "Increments" field, you indicate the increments by which the weight increases from the lowest to the highest.

If the weights for your exercise increase in irregular increments, you can add multiple series. For example, let’s say your gym has weights from 5-50 in increments of 5 (5/10/15/20/25/30/35/40/45/50) and beyond 50 in increments of 2.5 (52,5/55/57,5…/100). Then, you would add the following two series:

  • From: 5 To: 50 Increments: 5

  • From: 52,5 To: 100 Increments: 2.5

Below the series, a list of the available weights generated from your entries will be displayed. These are the weights that MyFitCoach can use for your recommendations.

Option 2: ENTER WEIGHTS INDIVIDUALLY

Here, you enter each weight individually in the "Add Weights" text field that you have available for the exercise and add them by clicking the "+" button.

By clicking on "Continue Series", MyFitCoach continues the existing series by looking at the gap between the last two weight entries and increasing the last entry accordingly.

Below the series, a list of the available weights generated from your entries will be displayed. These are the weights that MyFitCoach can use for your recommendations.

Option 3 (only for bodyweight exercises): NO ADDITIONAL WEIGHT

Additionally, for bodyweight exercises or exercises that involve a large portion of your body weight, you have the option to select "No additional weight". By doing this, you’re indicating that you can’t add weight to this exercise and MyFitCoach should only help you progress with repetitions.
