Auto Remove LP After Replenishment

Store replenished stock without an LP when it reaches a loose-pick location. Learn how to turn on Auto Remove LP After Replenishment for locations in Logiwa IO, how it works in Pick & Put and Direct Put, and how to audit it.

Overview

Reserve stock is often stored on LPs (license plates), while pick faces hold loose stock with no LP. Without this setting, replenished stock arrives at the pick face still linked to its LP, and someone has to run a separate transfer to remove it.

Auto Remove LP After Replenishment is a location setting. When it's on, Logiwa IO stores replenished stock at that location without an LP as soon as the replenishment is completed. Operators scan exactly as before; the LP is removed in the background.

When to use it

Turn it on for a location when:

  • It's a pick face where items are stored and picked loose, without LP labels.

  • It's replenished from LP-tracked reserve locations.

Leave it off for locations where stock should stay on its LP, for example pallet pick positions.

Prerequisites

  • The location exists in Logiwa IO.

  • A replenishment job type and wave rule are set up for the warehouse.

  • You can edit locations.

Step-by-step setup

One location

  1. Go to Settings > Master Data > Locations.

  2. Open the location, or click Create Location.

  3. On the Information tab, go to Location Rules.

  4. Select the Auto Remove LP After Replenishment pill. It's unselected by default.

  5. Click Save.

The pill's tooltip reads: "When enabled, LPs are automatically removed after the replenishment, and items are stored in the replenishment location without LPs."

Many locations

Use the location Excel import or update. Add an Auto Remove Lp After Replenishment column and set it to TRUE for each location. If you leave the column out, the setting is off.

💡 The setting is also available on the location Open API create, bulk create, update and get endpoints.

How it works

  1. The operator runs the replenishment task as usual, in Pick & Put or Direct Put.

  2. When stock is placed in a location, Logiwa IO checks that location's setting:

    • Pick & Put: at put completion.

    • Direct Put: when the one-step pick completes into the target.

  3. Setting on: stock that would otherwise arrive on an LP is stored without one. In practice, this is when a whole LP moves to the location (a full-LP task). The LP record stays in the system, even at quantity 0.

  4. Setting off: the stock keeps its LP, as before.

The check always uses the location where the stock was actually placed, not the task's original target. This matters when Allow Scanning Another Put Location or Allow Suggest Another lets the operator use a different location.

Example 1 (whole LP): With Only Replenish Full LPs on, the whole of LP-600 (80 units) goes to A-02, which has the setting on. A-02 holds 80 loose units. LP-600 still exists, with quantity 0.

Example 2 (redirected put): The task targets A-01 (setting on), but the operator scans A-05 (setting off) using Allow Scanning Another Put Location. The stock arrives at A-05 still on its LP.

Example 3 (mixed job): One job has a task to A-01 (setting on) and a task to P-10, a pallet position (setting off). The LP moved to A-01 is removed and its stock stored loose; the LP moved to P-10 stays an LP.

Auditing removed LPs

Task Details

On Task Management → Task Details → Replenishment:

  1. Open the column chooser and turn on LP Auto Removed. It's hidden by default and appears after Target LPN.

  2. The column shows Yes when an LP was actually removed on that task, and No otherwise.

  3. Sort or filter by LP Auto Removed, or export the list; the Excel file includes the column.

Yes only appears when an LP was actually removed on that task. Replenishing stock into a location with the setting on shows No if no LP arrived with it, because there was nothing to remove.

Transaction History

The standard Replenishment transaction is written as usual. When the LP was removed, its Target LPN is empty, while Source LPN shows the original LP.

Common questions

Does this change what operators scan? No. They scan the same fields as before.

Is the source LP deleted when all its stock is replenished? No. It stays in the system with quantity 0.

Does it affect picking, receiving, counting or transfers? No. It only applies to replenishment. For transfers, see Auto Remove LP After Transfer.

Why does a task show "No" even though the location has the setting on? No LP arrived with the replenished stock (for example, the product was picked out of an LP and put loose), or the operator placed it in a different location that doesn't have the setting.
