Understanding the statuses of orders is essential for effective warehouse management, enabling you to quickly ship orders and resolve any discrepancies. This article will cover the details of Logiwa's shipment order statuses and the underlying conditions that trigger status changes, explaining how each operation within the warehouse affects the status of a specific shipment order and when changes can or cannot be made.

Initial Steps (Open)

  • First, navigate to the Shipment Order screen.

    • If you have trouble locating this screen, please use the Search option on the menu bar.

  • Once you create a shipment order manually or via excel, it's automatically set to Open if there is enough inventory.

    • If there is no inventory, then the status will be shown as Shortage.

    • If the shipment order cannot be fulfilled for any reason, then it can be manually set to OnHold.

    • At this time, you can also manually set the shipment order status to Cancelled.

    • You are also allowed to set the shipment order status to Shipped, if you're shipping it directly.

    • Finally, you can also delete the shipment order during this step.

Ready To Pick

  • Once the shipment order has been allocated, the status will change to ReadyToPick.

    • If you cancel the allocation, then the order status will return to Open.

    • You can still set the status to Shipped by shipping the order.

    • No manual change is allowed other than the status changes listed above.

    • You cannot cancel or delete the order itself in this status.

Picking Started

  • Once the picking job has been started, the status will change to PickingStarted.

    • You can still set the status to Open if you cancel allocation.

    • You can still set the status to Shipped by shipping the order.

    • You cannot cancel or delete the order itself in this status.

Ready To Pack

  • Once the picking job has been finished, the status will change to ReadyToPack.

    • You can still set the status to Open if you cancel the allocation.

    • You can still set the status to Shipped by shipping the order.

    • You cannot cancel or delete the order itself in this status.

Packing Started

  • If you start packing your order, the status will change to PackingStarted.

    • You can still set the status to Open if you cancel the allocation.

    • You can still set the status to Shipped by shipping the order.

    • You cannot cancel or delete the order itself in this status.

Ready to Ship

  • Once the packing job has been finished, the status will change to ReadyToShip.

    • You can still set the status to Open if you cancel the allocation.

    • You can still set the status to Shipped by shipping the order.

    • You cannot cancel or delete the order itself in this status.

Shipped

  • Once an order has been prepared, it can be shipped at any time. After shipping, the status will change to Shipped.

    • No status change can be made to the shipment order if the order is shipped.

    • You cannot cancel or delete the order itself in this status.

Cancelled

  • If your shipment is cancelled because of anything, the status is set to Cancelled.

    • No status change can be made on the shipment order if the order is cancelled.

    • You cannot also delete the shipment order in this step.

On Hold

  • If your shipment order is planned to be fulfilled later due to any reason, it can be set to OnHold.

    • You can also delete or cancel the shipment order at this time.

    • If it's ready to be fulfilled, you can manually switch the status to Open.

Partial Statuses

Initially, the order must be partially allocated—in the Ready To Pick (P) status—to manage the related order as a partial order. Otherwise, the process cannot be managed partially. If there is enough inventory to fulfill the order, all the items that belong to the order can be picked. Thus, the entire process can be completed, and there is no need for partial statuses in that scenario.

The partial statuses in the system are used as follows:

  • ReadyToPick (P): At least one item has been allocated for the order, while some items are still waiting to be allocated.

  • ReadyToPack (P): At least one item has been selected for the order, while some items are still awaiting allocation or selection.

  • ReadyToLoad (P): At least one item is packed or picked for the order, depending on the process.

    • Only Pick (No Packing): If the warehouse uses Only Pick job types, packing tasks are not created. If at least one item is picked, the order status will turn to ReadyToLoad (P).

    • Packing Used: If at least one item is packed, the order status will turn to ReadyToLoad (P).

  • Shipped (P): If the entire process has been completed for an item in the order but there are still pending tasks to be finished.
