What are Kit-to-Order Products?

Kit-to-Order products are products consisting of several other products. The parts of a kit-to-order product are referred to as Components in Logiwa.

These products do not require any assembly process; their components can be picked, packed, and shipped just like normal products. Furthermore, the components can be sold individually, independent of the kit-to-order product.

Kit-to-order products cannot physically exist in the inventory. Therefore, add/adjust/remove inventory functions (via desktop, Open API, or Excel import) are not applicable for kit-to-order products.

Creating Kit-to-Order Products

  • Proceed to the Products Screen and click on the Create New Product button.

  • Select Kit from the available Product Categories.

General

  • Choose whether your kit is Kit to Order or Kit to Stock.

Components

  • By using the Search & Add Component bar, you can search for products and add as a component to your new kit-to-order product.

  • Select the quantity amount of each component and click on the Plus (+) sign to add the component.

  • The desired amounts of different products can be defined as components of a certain kit-to-order product.

IMPORTANT: Kit products in one kit cannot be defined as components of other kit products.

  • Added components' quantity can be adjusted if necessary or the component can be also removed in the Components tab.

  • Click on the Next button to proceed to the Packing section.

Packing

  • Define the necessary information, then click on the Next button to proceed to the Advanced section.

    • Origin Country Code: A two-letter code representing the country of origin for imported goods, used to determine tariffs, quotas, and other regulations.

    • Is not declared to customs?: When disabled (default), this kit product will automatically be declared to customs. When enabled, this kit will not automatically be declared to customs.
