At Logiwa IO, we strive to provide clear and actionable insights into your warehouse operations.
One key area of focus is the timeline of order management, and to support this, we have two different fields on the Shipment Order Grid: Order Processing Age & Order Age.
Here’s a breakdown of the difference between Order Age and Order Processing Age, and why it matters:
Order Processing Age: This field tracks how long an order has been in Logiwa IO from the moment it was created in the system. It provides a more accurate reflection of your internal processing times—starting the moment Logiwa IO begins handling the order.
This helps monitor the efficiency of the order fulfillment process and highlights any bottlenecks that occur after the order is received into Logiwa IO.Order Age: This is calculated from the Shipment Order Date field. It represents the age of the order based on the order date—whether that’s manually set or pulled from the store during the initial import.
This date can be influenced by factors outside Logiwa, such as payment issues, fraud checks, or store-side delays, meaning it doesn’t always accurately reflect when the order was ready to be processed in Logiwa.
For instance, if an order couldn’t be pulled from the store immediately due to a pending payment, the Order Age would show a longer duration than the Order Processing Age. Order Processing Age gives you clearer insights into your internal decisions by focusing on the time the order has been under Logiwa IO's control.
This distinction is especially useful for understanding delays in order processing and identifying potential improvements within your warehouse operations.
