How to Enter Offline Donations to Count Toward A Specific P2P Fundraiser Page

Most of your peer-to-peer fundraisers raise money to support your organization through the campaigns they participate in by sharing their individual online fundraiser pages that they’ve created. Typically, this is done through channels such as sharing on their social media or sending an email to their friends and loved ones.

However, some fundraisers also raise funds for your organization offline, through checks or cash contributions given to them directly. Other times, a donor may approach you with an offline contribution with the intention of donating to a specific fundraiser.

If this is the case, our system allows for you to enter that offline contribution, and make sure that it is correctly attributed to that fundraiser’s specific campaign. This will make sure their progress bar and donor scroll are accurate – and that their efforts are being recognized!

To record an offline donation for a specific P2P campaign, please follow the steps below:

First, log into your organization's Fundraising Pages account.

NOTE: Be sure that you are in Fundraising Pages, NOT Donor Management, when entering these types of offline transactions.

At the top of your account, you should see a blue navigation bar. Click on the tab labeled "Offline Donations".

When the page loads, click on the blue "Add Donation" button in the upper right-hand corner.

Select the donor who gave the offline contribution by either typing in the donor field to search existing donors and clicking the correct option from the drop-down options, or clicking on the "click here" in the help text below that field to create a new guest donor record.

Then, fill out the remaining donation details (e.g. donation date, donation amount, and payment type) of the donation that you’ve received.

Next, in the "Optional Details" section, select the campaign page you would like to attribute the donation to. You’ll want to start typing in the specific fundraiser’s name in the “Campaign Page” section.

You should see a list of the fundraiser pages that they have created populate. In parentheses next to their name, you will see the name of the overall P2P campaign that their fundraiser is associated with, so you can make sure you are selecting the correct fundraiser AND the correct corresponding campaign.

For example, the results may look like:

Once the appropriate fundraiser page has been selected, you will be able to add additional details, such as how the donor has chosen to be recognized in the donor scroll, by filling out the "Public Donation Details" section with the corresponding information.

Once you have entered all relevant information for the donation to your fundraiser's page, click the blue "Save & Exit" button at the top of the page to save the donation.

When you have completed the steps above, the donation you have just entered should then sync into your Donor Management System and will be attributed to your specific fundraiser's page accordingly!
