How do I guide my donors through modifying recurring donations?

If your donor needs to update one of their recurring donations, you can reference or share the steps outlined in this article to help guide them through the process.

Step 1: Log in

Navigate to one of your organization's donation pages (it does not matter if it is the one you made your recurring donation to).

Click the 'Log In' link in the upper-right corner of the page.

Use the e-mail address and password you created when you made your first donation to log into your donor account.

Step 2: Navigate to your 'Recurring Donations'

Once logged in, locate and click the 'Recurring Donations' tab on the left navigation menu.

Step 3: Edit your recurring donation

From this page, you can update the amount and frequency of your recurring donation by clicking the 'Actions' button and selecting 'Edit' from the drop-down menu.

Note: A donation will continue to process on the anniversary of the date it was set up. If you want to change the date the donation is processed, you should cancel it and set a new recurring donation up on the next instance of that desired donation date.

A pop-up window will appear, where you can update the donation amount, donation frequency, specify an End Date, and choose to (or not to) cover any transaction fees.

Step 4: Save your changes!

Once you are finished making your updates, click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the pop-up window.

Your 'Recurring Donations' page will refresh - a confirmation message should appear towards the top of the page and any updates you made should reflect in the list underneath.

Note: You should also receive an e-mail confirmation for your records.
