Accounts, Locations, and Queues

When should you create a new account vs. add a new location vs. create a new queue?

Accounts

Most businesses will only ever need one business account. We recommend that the business owner or senior operational manager complete the initial Sign Up for a business account - if a business has multiple queues and locations, they can all be easily created and managed within this one account (along with users, billing, and other settings).

Occasionally, some types of businesses and franchises may have multiple locations that have different ownership structures - this is a use case where different accounts are created, at the discretion of each business owner.

Locations

Locations are associated with separate waitlists under the same account.

More traditionally, businesses that have multiple physical locations will Add New Locations under the same account in order to easily manage settings, users, and billing for all of their locations with a single log in. Locations can also be thought of as unique virtual experiences if a business account wants to offer multiple unique branded experiences under the same account.

Queues

Queues are unique service lanes for your waitlist. Some examples:

  • Restaurants have different queues for each table size (i.e. 1-2 Top, 3-4 Top)

  • Beauty salons have different queues for each service (i.e. Haircut, Manicure)

  • Events have different queues for each activity (i.e. Photo Op, Karaoke)
