We’re upgrading our USD accounts and cards by moving them to a new partner. This upgrade is free, optional for now, and designed to improve reliability and features over time.
Below is everything you need to know about how the process works and what to expect.
What will I see in the app?
You’ll see an in-app message explaining the upgrade, with the option to Accept or Dismiss.
If you Accept, we’ll start preparing your upgrade in the background.
If you Dismiss, nothing changes for now (with some limitations explained below).
What happens when I press “Accept”?
When you press Accept:
Nothing changes immediately
Your USD account and current card continue working as usual
We begin processing your upgrade in the background
Once the upgrade is complete, your new card will appear in the app automatically.
How long does the upgrade take?
For most users, the upgrade is completed within the same day.
In some cases, the process may take longer (up to 2–3 weeks). This can happen when additional checks are required. These are edge cases, and we actively monitor progress to move things forward as quickly as possible.
What changes for me after the switch?
Once your upgrade is complete:
You’ll see a brand new USD card in the app
Your USD balance will be transferred automatically
Your USD wire details stay the same
You don’t need to move funds manually or update any wire instructions.
Will my USD wire details change?
No.
You will keep the same USD wire details, and incoming transfers will continue to work as usual.
What happens to my current card during the upgrade?
You can continue using your current USD card while the upgrade is in progress.
Your old card will only be frozen after the upgrade is fully completed and your new card is ready. This helps ensure there’s no disruption to your spending.
Why is this upgrade free?
The upgrade is free for users who:
Are active users
Have deposited funds
Or previously paid for a USD card
If I didn’t have a USD card before, will I get one now?
No.
If you didn’t have a USD card before, one won’t be issued automatically.
After the upgrade is complete, you can request a USD card if you’d like one.
Can I still exchange currencies (FX)?
Yes.
FX will continue to work, and upgraded accounts will benefit from even better FX conditions. More details will be shared soon.
What happens if I don’t accept by January 31?
If you don’t accept the upgrade by January 31:
Your USD account will remain active
Your USD card will be blocked
You can still request the upgrade later if you decide you want a USD card again.
I can see a new USD account but not the new card yet. Is this normal?
Yes, this can be normal.
To keep the upgrade as smooth as possible, some users may see the new USD account before the new card becomes visible.
When should I contact support?
Please contact support only if:
You can see the new USD account
But your card is still not visible after a reasonable wait
