Here are a few things to note before we get started!
OneLocal Dashboard Created Events pushed to Google Calendar: Any updates to these types of events must be done through the OneLocal dashboard
The name, date and time and description section cannot be edited from Google calendar.
Google Calendar Created Events pushed to OneLocal Booker Dashboard: Any updates to these types of events must be done through your Google Calendar
Note: Editing events in the incorrect calendar will revert any changes to the original booking information!
Only booking events that are added after the integration will appear in Google calendar; any events prior will not be added to Google calendar
What happens if I disconnect the integration?
If you accidentally disconnect your Google calendar account, don't worry! Any events that were added with LocalVisits - Booking will not be deleted!
Pulling Bookings from Google Calendar
The calendar view is where you are able to go to view any Google calendar events that have been pulled into the OneLocal dashboard from your connected calendar:
The green events with the Google logo are the events that are pulled in from the your Google calendar!
If your event is:
Solid Green
This indicates that the event is confirmed
Striped Green
This indicates that the event is in the 'maybe' status in your Google calendar
Crossed Out
This indicates that the event is in the 'no' state
Clear
This indicates that the event is still 'unconfirmed' in your Google calendar
If you click into an event you will see the details for that event pulled in from Google calendar.
Pushing New Bookings into Google Calendar
Bookings that are in the 'Confirmed' state will be pushed into your Google calendar depending on the calendar you've connected per staff member.
If 'Enable pending bookings to be sent to your Google Calendar' is checked off, pending bookings will also be sent to your Google calendar once they are added to the LocalVisits - Booking dashboard
What does my 'pushed booking' look like in my Google calendar?
Bookings that are pushed into your Google Calendar will appear like this:
Title
Your customer's name who created the booking
Body
This will include any fields that the customer filled out for their booking.
This may include: service, duration as well as any other custom fields
Important to Note:
There will be a "OneLocal Don't Edit" this indicates that you should not to edit the booking from Google Calendar, rather any events created in LocalVisits - Booking should be updated, edited and changed from your OneLocal Dashboard (LocalVisits - Booker dashboard).
