eNotary stamp is a digital representation of the notary's ink stamp. It can be circular or rectangular. Here are a few tips to make sure the eNotary stamp complies with the State and platform requirements:

The eNotary Stamp needs to have the information specified exactly as indicated on the notary public's commission certificate:
- Notary Public name
- Notary's commission number
- Notary's commission expiration date
Make sure the stamp is designed per the state requirements
- Includes all required wording
- Includes all required graphic elements
- Excludes all not allowed elements
The stamp is saved in a .png format with a transparent background since some notarized forms may have a colored background
Recommended stamp dimensions are 500x200 or 240x240
No vendor logo, no photo, nor any other additional information is included

Louisiana (LA)

Circular or rectangular.  The stamp must include:

The notary’s name as it appears on the notarial commission
The words “Notary Public”
The words “State of Louisiana”
The commission number

Maine (ME)

Circular or rectangular. The stamp must include:

The notary’s name as it appears on the notarial commission
The words “Notary Public”
The words “State of Maine” or “Maine”
The commission expiration date

Maryland (MD)

Circular or rectangular. The stamp must include:

The notary’s name as it appears on the notarial commission
The words “Notary Public”
The name of the county of commission
The commission expiration date

Massachusetts (MA)

Circular or rectangular. The stamp must include:

Great Stamp of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
The notary’s name exactly as it appears on the notarial commission
The words “Notary Public”
The words “Commonwealth of Massachusetts” or “Massachusetts”
The commission expiration date

Michigan (MI)

Circular or rectangular. The stamp must include:

The notary’s name exactly as it appears on the notarial commission
The words “Notary Public, State of Michigan, County of __________”
The words “My commission expires __________”

Minnesota (MN)

Rectangular with a serrated or milled-edge border. The stamp must include:

The Great Seal of the State of Minnesota
The notary’s name exactly as it appears on the notarial commission
The words “Notary Public”
The notary’s jurisdiction
The notary’s commission number
The words “My commission expires” followed by the commission expiration date

Mississippi (MS)

Circular or rectangular. The stamp must include, in the following order:

The words “State of Mississippi”
The notary’s name as it appears on the notarial commission
The words “Notary Public”
The name of the county where the notary maintains an office
The notary’s current commission expiration date
The notary’s commission identification number assigned by the Secretary of State

Words or terms on the official stamp may not be abbreviated, except for name suffixes as permitted. The official stamp must not contain the Mississippi state stamp.

Missouri (MO)

Circular or rectangular. The stamp must include:

The notary’s name exactly as it appears on the notarial commission
The words “Electronic Notary Public,” “Notary Seal,” and “State of Missouri”
The notary’s commission number
The words “My commission expires” followed by the commission expiration date

Montana (MT)

Rectangular only. The stamp must include:

The notary’s name exactly as it appears on the notarial commission
The title “Notary Public for the State of Montana”
The words “Residing at” followed by the name of the city or town of residence
The commission expiration date

Nebraska (NE)

Online Notary Circular or rectangular. The online notary seal must include: The online notary’s name exactly as it appears on the notarial commission The notary’s ID The commission expiration date The words “Online Notary Public” The word “Nebraska” All required information must appear within the border of the seal.
Electronic Notary Circular or rectangular. The online notary seal must include: The online notary’s name exactly as it appears on the notarial commission The notary’s ID The commission expiration date The words “Online Notary Public” The word “Nebraska” All required information must appear within the border of the seal.
