It’s midterm time, and jmc's midterm report cards are ready to provide valuable insights into student progress. Once teachers submit their midterm grades and office users approve them, you’re all set to print and email midterm report cards to keep families informed. Printing and sharing report cards with students and families ensures everyone stays up-to-date on student performance.

To print and email midterm report cards, log in to jmc Office and go to Grading > Reports > Midterm Report Cards.

Step One: Select a term type from the "Term Type" drop-down list and specify a term by selecting the appropriate radio button to filter the midterm report cards.

Step Two: Select a radio button to determine which midterm report cards will be printed or emailed, then fill out the appropriate fields:

  • By Sequential: a range of students by jmc student ID number.

  • By Random: individually selected students from a list of all active student.

  • By Grade: a range of grade levels, for example: From: 6 To: 8

  • By Advisor: a range of advisor by ID, for example: From: 1 To: 10

Step Three (optional): Place a checkmark in the "Include SnB Instances" checkbox to include standards and benchmarks instances on the midterm report card.

Step Four: Click the "Preview" button to view the midterm report card preview and enable the emailing of midterm report cards from jmc Office to families.

Step Five (optional): Place a checkmark in the "Email If Possible" checkbox to email report cards to students' primary contacts.

Fun Fact: Midterm report cards will be emailed if the student's primary contact has at least one email address entered and the "In Mailings" and "In Reports" boxes are checked on the "View Student Data" page.

Step Six (optional): Enter an email message in the message box for display in the body of the email. For example: "Please remember to sign up for midterm teacher conferences."

Fun Fact: Add a little pizzazz to your message using the formatting tools. Font, weight, size, the sky's the limit. Even insert a link by using the globe icon.

Step Seven (optional): Place a checkmark in the "Email Student" checkbox to email the midterm report card to the student.

Step Eight (optional): Enter an email address in the "Reply to Address" field to receive a reply to your email.

Step Nine (optional): Click the "Choose File" button to add a file from your computer as an email attachment.

Step Ten (optional): Click the "Formatting" tab to further customize your midterm report card.

  • Select a radio button next to the size option to adjust the vertical orientation of the printed midterm report card.

  • Select the font size and spacing option used on the printed midterm report card from the appropriate drop-down list.

  • Customize the labels of your Quarters, Semesters, Trimesters or Hexes by entering your preferred label in the appropriate field.

  • Click the "Defaults button to return to the recommended settings and/or click the "Update" button to save your formatting changes.

Step Eleven (optional): Click the "Messages" tab to insert a custom message on the bottom of the midterm report card for all grades or for selected grade levels.
