jmc's Point of Sale portal functions as a convenient cash register, allowing food service professionals to efficiently track lunch purchases and expedite the lunch line. By scanning or entering student or adult lunch accounts, users can easily charge meals, extra milks, and a la carte items, while also generating comprehensive reports in jmc Office for accurate meal reporting.

Click the "Point of Sale" icon on the jmc landing page to log into the Point of Sale portal.

Step One: Click the "Begin Breakfast" or "Begin Lunch" button to start processing students and adults through the breakfast or lunch line.

Helpful Tip: Streamline the lunch process by placing a checkmark in the "Auto Mode" checkbox to enable "Auto Mode" for the Point of Sale.

Fun Fact: "Auto Mode" allows the Point of Sale user to simply press the "Enter" key to charge the selected student a meal.

Step Two: Enter the student/adult's name or ID number in the "Find" field to begin charging items in the Point of Sale.

Helpful Tip: Save time at the end of the line by attaching a keypad or scanner to the Point of Sale computer to let students and adults scan or enter their own IDs as they go through the lunch line.

Step Three (optional): Select the appropriate "Cash" pricing group or press the "+ Cash" button on the keypad to begin a cash transaction for guests in the Point of Sale.

Step Four: Click the appropriate item or use the corresponding item number on the keypad to charge meals, a la cartes, and extra milks to the selected account.

Step Five: Click the "Enter" button displayed on the Point of Sale page or press the "Enter" key on the keypad to charge items to the selected account.

Step Six: Repeat steps two through five until the serving period has concluded.
