Closing out a term in jmc Office keeps official grades, standards-based results, and student records accurate and up to date. This simple process helps your team submit grades, track progress, and share student learning with families—without extra work or last-minute stress.

End-of-term reporting: Check!

Follow this checklist to walk your team through the key steps: submitting grades, verifying student data, and preparing reports for families. When everything is complete, you’ll be ready to launch smoothly into the next term.

Accept course grades and standards and benchmarks

Open the grade acceptance period on the Grading > Entry > Grade Acceptance page to allow teachers to submit their course grades and standards-based results. This provides teachers with clear communication of the appropriate time to submit final grades to the office.

Utilize the Grade Submission Log in jmc Office

Easily view teachers who still need to submit grades so you know when you are ready to officially close out the grading period and send those report cards home.

Assess students

Enter or verify student assessments—whether course grades or standards-based results—directly in jmc Office. Keeping assessments current ensures teachers, families, and students have an accurate view of student progress.

Close the Grade Acceptance period

After all standards-based results and course grades have been submitted, close the grade acceptance period to prevent further changes or accidental overwrites.

Send report cards

Share student progress with families by emailing or printing report cards. Course grade report cards are available under Grading > Reports > Report Cards, and standards-based report cards can be printed from Standards and Benchmarks > Reports > Print Standards and Benchmarks Report Cards.

Run Honor Roll and Class Rank reports

Recognize student achievement by running Honor Roll and Class Rank reports under Grading > Reports. Export or print these reports to celebrate academic success with students and families.
