Fund Accounts

Learn how to establish, categorize, and track student activity and club fund accounts in Edlio Accounting.

In school fund accounting, Fund Accounts represent individual fiscal buckets set aside for designated school activities, clubs, athletics, and academic departments. Every dollar brought in through receipts or spent through disbursements must be allocated to an authorized fund account.

Managing School Fund Accounts

Navigate to Settings > Fund Accounts. The fund accounts manager allows bookkeepers to view active accounts, net cash balances, sponsors, and account groups:

💡 Best-Practice Adoption Tip: When setting up fund accounts, always assign the active faculty sponsor or coach as the Fund Manager. This enables targeted notifications for low balances and monthly transaction statements directly to the responsible educator.
