Document Viewer Language
Updated over a week ago

When viewing a document, system-generated messages and prompts are displayed in English by default. Examples include the toolbar menu, cookie policy and messages such as 'enter your email address' or 'you are not authorized to view this document'.

πŸ’‘ Example

The below image shows the document toolbar options in English, which is the default language.

If you have designed your document in a language other than English, you can choose to display these messages and prompts in the matching language.

πŸ’‘ Example

The below image shows the document toolbar options in Italian, which has been selected for the Language of the document.

Available Languages

  • English

  • Bulgarian

  • Dutch

  • French

  • German

  • Italian

  • Lithuanian

  • Polish

  • Portuguese

  • Romanian

  • Spanish

  • Welsh

How to set Document Viewer Language

  • Select 'Manage' for your document from the homepage.

  • Select the 'Language' tab.

  • Select a language from the 'Language' dropdown list.

Select image to zoom

Setting the language does not translate the content of your document - you must create the design of your document in your preferred language first.

What will change?

Once a language has been chosen, the following system-generated messages and prompts will change.

  • Login Pages

  • System Menus

  • System Emails (password resets etc)

  • Error Messages

  • Cookie Popups

  • Toolbars

Language is set at Document level, so it will be applied to all versions stored within it. For example, CitylifeBank create a monthly Newsletter for their Italian clients. The Document currently contains a version for January, February and March. The Document Viewer Language for the document has been set to Italian, which means the system-generated messages and prompts for each version will all display in Italian.
