In this guide, learn how to sign up to a Payroller Standard plan on behalf of your client so that they can submit a pay run.
Each client account that you are managing payroll on behalf of, needs to have its own Payroller subscription.
You do not need to subscribe to Payroller for access to your agent account / Agent Portal when you're managing your own external clients.
As an agent, you have three ways of subscribing for your client. You can
Invite your client(s) to pay for their Payroller subscription via email
Send a bulk invitation to your clients to subscribe.
Step 1: Select the three dots on a client card.
Step 2: Select 'Invite client to pay for subscription'.
Step 3: Select the clients you would like to invite.
Step 4: Feel free to enter a message and then select ‘Send’.
Your client will have received the following invitation. They will simply have to click ‘Enter Details’ and log in to their account to subscribe.
Send an individual invitation to your client to subscribe.
You can also send an individual invitation to your client.
Step 1: Select ‘Subscribe’ on the client card.
Step 2: Customize your message, review the Billing Schedule and Number of employees, and select ‘Send Email’.
When sending an invitation through this method, your client will also see the type of subscription you have selected for them. They will have to click ‘Enter Details’ and log in to their account to subscribe.
Enter the client's credit card details on behalf of the client
Step 1: To enter the client's credit card details on behalf of the client select ‘Subscribe’ on the client's card.
Step 2: Select ‘Enter card details on behalf of the client’.
Step 3: Enter the Payment details, customise your Billing Schedule and Number of employees, and select ‘Confirm’.
Once subscribed, the Subscription status will be changed to Active, Client pays, and show the date that the next billing will occur.
Your client will have received the subscription information to their email.
Enter your own credit card details to pay on behalf of the client
Step 1: To pay for your client's subscription, select ‘Subscribe’.
Step 2: Select ‘Agent pays’.
Step 3: Enter your card details, check the subscription type, and the number of employees, and then select ‘Confirm’.
Once you have subscribed, the Subscription status will be updated to Active, who is paying for the subscription, and the next billing date.
If you have paid for the subscription for your client, you as the agent will receive the subscription information via email.
