Names usually map automatically in Tali from ParentPay. Sometimes names are not automatically mapped. This is usually because they aren’t held in the MIS system with a permanent Unique Pupil Number or because the name is a new name in the system.
To match unmapped names or import new ones from ParentPay:
Select a Name in the list of names displayed on the left.
Use the Filter box to enter a character or characters in the name you want to find and the list of displayed names adjusts accordingly to show a shorter list to choose the name from.
Select the name to match it to, from the Match Contact drop-down list on the right.
Note: Please be aware of pupils or staff with the SAME name when matching names. To assist you in selecting the correct pupil name to match, the class information for the pupil is also shown. If you are unsure, abandon the matching process and go to Administration > Manage Names to check.
If no matching name is displayed because this is a new name, select the box on the left of the new name.
Click Import Selected.
Note: If you have 100 or more new names to select, you can select Import 100 and Tali will import the first 100 unmatched names automatically.
