Payment Options
Pegasus charges 5% on all revenue earned during an event.
This charge is applied when you transfer money from your Pegasus account to your connected bank account.
This means:
We do not charge 5% before you process refunds. We only charge 5% on the money you take home after all event finances are settled.
We do not charge 5% on governance fees, as we remove the governance fees from your total bill before you transfer money to your bank account.
Select Your Preferred Payment Option
To account for our 5% fee, consider these three options when hosting an event:
Embed fees: Increase all prices by 5%. This will increase all prices you set during the create event process by 5% so the riders and spectators will pay for Pegasus's 5% fee.
Split fees: Charge riders & spectators 2.9% + 30c. This will increase all prices you set during the create event process by 2.9% + 30c (the credit card processing fees) for the riders to pay. This leaves 2.1% remaining that you the organizer will pay Pegasus.
Absorb fees: Leave prices as they are. This will leave all prices you set during the create event process as they are, meaning you the organizer will pay Pegasus the full 5%.
Allow free registration. This will allow riders to register for your event without paying. This will require that you collect cash or check payment at the show. You can learn how to track cash and check payments here.
Click the toggle to 'On' to select your preferred payment terms. You will make this selection on an event-by-event basis.
Note. You can 'Allow free registration' alongside the option to Embed, Split or Absorb fees. This will allow those willing to pay by credit card to do so, and those that would prefer to pay by cash or check, can do so at the event.
