What does "on-hold" mean?

When you place a project on hold, all work stops. Designers can’t continue until the project’s active again, nor can they receive messages during hold. The on-hold feature is used for awaiting customer feedback or prioritizing projects. It signals our design team that the project isn’t finished and will resume when ready.
