Preventing Disconnections

Troubleshoot and solve any disconnection issues during your training

Updated over a week ago

We use Bluetooth technology to send the information from your probe to your smartphone or tablet. The Bluetooth antenna is located:

  • Perifit Care (original): At the end of the white cord

  • Perifit Care +: At the end of the purple tail, under the on/off button.

During games or exercises, the Bluetooth signal quality is displayed through the lotus icon in the top-left corner. If the lotus is full, your Bluetooth signal is good.

Initial troubleshooting

Here is the troubleshooting process in case you have poor connection quality (disconnections, lags...)

  1. Go to your app Settings > Scroll down and tap "Test your Bluetooth Signal"

  2. Turn on your Perifit Care and let it sit next to your phone

  3. Run the test

What do the results say?

  • "All good!" > proceed to the "Tips to improve your connection quality" section

  • "Could be better..." > contact our support team directly by tapping the :( emoji below or through the original support chat directly. The message will read something like: "Hello, here are the results of my Bluetooth test. Could you help me? Bluetooth strength: -85 dBm", and our team will assist you asap.

Tips to improve your connection quality

In the case where the troubleshooting test resulted in good results, we draw the hypothesis that the poor connection quality might be linked to the interaction between the probe and your device in training conditions.

As you follow the steps below, observe if they improve the Bluetooth quality by looking at the lotus in the top left corner of your screen during any exercise:

  • Disconnect other external devices that might be connected to your device's Bluetooth.

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the Perifit app from your app store.

  • You can try moving your smartphone up in the vertical direction and in both directions horizontally to find the best signal.

  • Open your legs slightly and make sure the white cord (Perifit Care) or purple tail (Perifit Care +) is facing up and directed toward your device.

  • Remove obstacles between the white cord (Perifit Care) or purple tail (Perifit Care +) and your device: clothing, your hand on the back of the phone...

  • Move the end of the white cord (Perifit Care) or purple tail (Perifit Care +) slightly away from your skin, especially if you are training with panties on.

Another tip for Perifit Care users not directly linked to how you train:

  • If you store the probe in a box, try to store it by placing the antenna as described on the picture below:
