If you notice irritation, a rash, unusual discomfort, or what you believe may be an infection after using your Perifit Care(+), it's important to pause your training while you identify the cause.
Although these symptoms are not necessarily caused by the probe itself, taking a short break can help you determine whether they may be related.
Step 1: Pause Your Training
Stop using your Perifit Care(+) for a few days and monitor your symptoms.
If your symptoms improve during this break, it may indicate that something related to your training routine or probe use is contributing to the irritation.
Step 2: Consider Possible Causes
Several factors may be involved:
Cleaning the Probe
Make sure your Perifit Care(+) is thoroughly cleaned before and after every use, following the cleaning instructions provided in the app and user guide.
Good hygiene helps reduce the risk of irritation and infection.
Sensitivity or Allergy
Perifit Care(+) is fully coated in medical-grade silicone, which is widely used in medical devices.
Although uncommon, some people may have a sensitivity or allergy to silicone or another product used during training (such as a lubricant or intimate wash).
Recurrent Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
If you frequently experience urinary tract infections and think insertion may be contributing, some users have found it helpful to:
gently wash the area between the vagina and anus before and after training
use a condom over the probe during training
While this is not an official medical recommendation, some users have reported that it helps reduce irritation or recurring infections.
When to Consult a Healthcare Professional
If your symptoms persist, worsen, or return each time you use your Perifit Care(+), we strongly recommend consulting a pelvic health professional or your healthcare provider.
They can determine whether your symptoms are caused by an infection, an allergic reaction, skin irritation, or another underlying condition, and recommend the most appropriate treatment.
If advised by your healthcare professional, wait until your symptoms have completely resolved before resuming your Perifit Care(+) training.
