The character does the opposite of what I do

The character goes up when I relax and down when I contract / the character does the opposite of what I do

Have you noticed that during your Perifit training, the character on-screen seems to have a mind of its own? It goes up when you relax and down when you contract, doing the opposite of what you're trying to achieve. It can be really frustrating and confusing.

Cause

This happens when your pelvic floor contractions aren't quite hitting the mark. If you're not doing the contractions properly, the app misinterprets your movements, leading to the character's unexpected behavior.

Solution

Don't worry, we're here to help you get back on track and in control:

  • Let's start by running a short test with your Perifit Care in hand.

    • Turn on your Perifit Care and keep it in your hand

    • Start the Practice Lab from the Exercises tab (Connect Perifit Care and proceed with calibration if needed)

    • Press the bottom sensor in your fist, then the upper sensor. This will help you visually understand which sensor reacts to which muscles

  • Once you've got a better grasp of how it works, you can put this into practice with your Perifit Care inserted:

    • Take your time and try to do a pelvic floor contraction. Look at the screen and see how the 2 pins are moving:

    • Your first goal is to make the green pin move to understand what it feels like, and then to keep the red pin at bay or at least lower than the green one. You want your pelvic floor to protect you from abdominal pressure that pushes your organs down.

Remember to take it slow and focus on doing the contractions correctly. It's not about rushing through the exercises but about doing them right. With practice and patience, you'll soon sync up with the character like a pro.

Keep at it, and don't hesitate to reach out via the ? button of the app if you need any further assistance or guidance. We're here to support you every step of the way toward better pelvic floor health!
