My contraction quality fluctuates a lot
Updated over a week ago

Have you noticed that the quality of your contractions during your Perifit training sessions tends to fluctuate? It can be frustrating when you're striving for consistency but find that your contractions vary in effectiveness.

Cause

Fluctuations in contraction quality can stem from various factors:

  • Sometimes, the probe may have shifted inside your body, causing the sensors to be in a different position than during calibration.

  • Additionally, factors such as pelvic floor and general fatigue can also impact the quality of your contractions.

Solution

Don't worry; there are steps you can take to manage and improve the consistency of your contractions:

  • Readjust the position of the probe to ensure the sensors are in the right position. If you have a Perifit Care+, use the silicone ring provided with it to ensure the probe stays in place, or contact us so we can send you one.

  • Take breaks between training sessions to allow your pelvic floor muscles to rest and recover. Overtraining can lead to fatigue, which may affect the quality of your contractions.

  • Pay attention to your body's signals and avoid overexerting yourself during training. Respect the relaxation time between contractions and focus on performing each contraction with proper technique and control.

By implementing these strategies and maintaining consistency in your training routine, you can effectively manage fluctuations in contraction quality and optimize the effectiveness of your Perifit training sessions. Remember to be patient with yourself and listen to your body's needs as you work towards your pelvic floor health goals.
