How to send a push notification to an individual customer

Send a push notification directly to a single customer.

Method 1: From the customer's profile (recommended)

The simplest way to send a push notification to one customer is directly from their profile.

  1. Navigate to Customers in the left-hand menu.

  2. Search for and click on the customer's name to open their profile.

  3. Click the Send Push tab.

  4. Select the card.

  5. Optionally schedule the message for a future time.

  6. Type your message and click Send.

The notification is sent only to that customer.


Method 2: From the Send Push section

You can also target a single customer by using the segment filters to narrow down to one person.

  1. Click Mailings in the left-hand menu, then click the Send Push tab at the top.

  2. Select the card template from the Card dropdown.

  3. Click Selected Segment.

  4. Use the condition, operator, and count filters to define criteria that matches only the specific customer you want to reach.

  5. Verify that the matching customer count shows 1 below the filters.

  6. Enter your message and click Send.

  7. Review the confirmation popup and click Send to confirm.


FAQs

Which method should I use?

The customer profile method is faster and more straightforward when you know exactly which customer you want to message. The segment method is useful if you want to find a customer based on their card activity (e.g., the customer with exactly 4 stamp uses).

Can the customer reply to a push notification?

No. Push notifications are one-way messages. The customer receives them but cannot reply directly.
