Overview
The Locations section lets you add your business locations and attach geo-push notifications to them. When a customer with your loyalty card installed enters the area around one of your locations (approximately 100 meters / 330 feet), they automatically receive a push notification β free and unlimited.
Important: Geo-push notifications currently work on iOS only (Apple Wallet).
How to add a location
Navigate to Locations in the left-hand menu.
Click Add Location.
Enter the location name in the Location Name field.
Enter the address in the Location Address field. As you type, suggestions are auto-populated β click on the correct suggestion.
Use the pin on the map to set the exact position. Scroll to zoom in and drag the pin for accuracy.
In the Apply to Cards field, click the plus icon to select which card templates this location and geo-push message should apply to. You can select one card or multiple cards.
Enter your geo-push message in the Push Message textbox.
Click Add.
The location is saved and appears in your locations list. You can preview how the notification will look on a customer's lock screen on the right side of the screen.
Tip: Use emojis in your geo-push message to increase open rates (e.g., "π We saw you nearby! Pop in and grab your daily bonuses π"). You can change the message at any time, even daily.
Location limits by plan
Starter β 1 location
Growth β 3 locations
Scale β Up to 10 locations
You can connect multiple card templates to each location.
Managing locations
The Locations screen lists all your saved locations. Each location has a toggle button next to it to quickly enable or disable it.
Editing a message
You can change the geo-push message text at any time. Updates are applied to customer cards automatically and almost instantly β no need to send an additional push notification. In rare cases, a delay of a few seconds may occur.
Disabling a location
Use the toggle button next to any location in the list to disable it. This stops geo-push notifications for that area without deleting the location. Toggle it back on at any time to resume notifications.
Deleting a location
To properly delete a geo-push location, follow these steps in order:
Deactivate the location and save.
Then delete it.
Important: If you skip the deactivation step and delete directly, customers whose cards haven't been updated may still receive the old notification until their card refreshes.
How geo-push updates work
When you change a geo-push message (the text), the update applies to customer cards automatically and near-instantly.
When you change or delete the geolocation itself (the address or area), the update only applies after the customer's card is refreshed. A card is refreshed when one of the following happens:
A transaction is processed (stamp added, points credited, visit deducted, etc.)
The customer receives any push notification (manual or automated)
Until the card refreshes, the customer may still receive the old geo-push when entering the previous area. Once the card updates, the change takes effect.
Important behaviour
Cannot be dismissed manually β Unlike regular push notifications, a geo-push cannot be swiped away on iPhone. It disappears automatically when the customer leaves the 100-meter radius
Fixed radius β The push notification area is set by the system and cannot be adjusted
No daily limit β Customers receive the notification every time they enter the area, even if that happens multiple times a day
Free and unlimited β Geo-push notifications have no cost and no sending limits
FAQs
Why isn't my customer receiving geo-push notifications?
Check the following:
Geo-push only works on iOS (Apple Wallet)
The customer's device must have location services enabled
The customer must not have blocked push notifications by geolocation in their iPhone settings
The customer must be within the 100-meter radius. If they're already at the location, ask them to leave and return to trigger the notification
In some areas, internet connectivity may be restricted (near subway stations, embassies, etc.). Try moving the map pin slightly to a nearby position
You can force a card update by processing a transaction, toggling Automatic Updates off and on, or sending a regular push notification
Can I change the radius?
No. The radius is fixed by the system and cannot be adjusted.
Can I limit how many times the notification is sent per day?
No. Customers receive the notification every time they enter the area. There is no daily limit.
Does geo-push work on Android?
No. Geo-push notifications currently work on iOS (Apple Wallet) only.
I deleted a geo-push but the customer still received it β why?
The customer's card hadn't been updated yet. Always deactivate the location first, then delete it. Geolocation changes only take effect after the card refreshes (through a transaction or receiving a push notification).
How many cards can I connect to one location?
There is no limit on the number of cards connected to a single location. You can connect one card or all of your cards to the same location.
