How can I export my contacts?

By default, Perspective Funnels display your contacts under the "CRM" tab :

If you want to export your contacts, you have several options available:

  1. Direct export of the already converted contacts ("Conversions") as a CSV file
-> A CSV file is ideal for exchanging simply structured data and is therefore usually used for importing/exporting contact data between different apps. Here is the step-by-step guide.

  2. Automated export of CRM contacts via Zapier/Make/Webhooks
-> Here, you can transfer the contacts to any other tool of your choice. A common example is exporting to Google Sheets.

💡 Step-by-step guides for Lead Export Automations:

Example: Transfer contacts to Google Sheets via Zapier

1. In your funnel, go to your settings and head over to the "Integrations" tab. Then, select the following Zapier integration: "Save new Perspective leads to Google Sheets as rows".

2. Next, select and connect your Perspective account. If you haven't connected your Perspective account with Zapier yet, you can do that with your Perspective dial-in data. Now, you just have to select the respective funnel you want to export the contacts from.

3. In the next step, click "Test & Continue" to import the lead information from your funnel automatically. After Zapier has successfully tested your funnel, you can select your Google Account.

4. Next, select the Google Sheet file and the spreadsheet. Ideally, you have already stored the contact information in a column in advance. Moreover, you have to assign the imported data from the funnel to the respective columns of the Google Sheet file.

Important to know: You have to create the respective columns in your Google Sheet in advance. If you haven’t done this yet, the following error message will be displayed:

How can you solve the problem?

If you haven't added the columns yet, simply follow the procedure as illustrated in the screenshot below: For each page (or input value), create a column in the Google Sheet within the Perspective Funnel.

5. As soon as you have saved all necessary information, you can go ahead and test the lead transfer. The last step is to name your Zap, finalize everything, publish your Zap and you’re done exporting your first contacts from your Perspective Funnel.#

One of the greatest features is that you can save your Google Sheet file including the exported leads as a PDF or CSV file.

How do I update information on a lead?

Here at Perspective, so-called lead events are either the input of an email address or a phone number. In Zapier, these are triggered and shown as "New Lead via Funnel".

If you add the trigger "Update Lead via Funnel" to your Zap, the updated lead information should also be visible in the Google Sheet file. You will receive one of the following notifications every time a lead is updated:

  • New Lead Trigger: One time, if your visitor converts in a funnel (by entering phone number/email).

  • Updated Lead Trigger: Every time you receive new information from your lead.

To use an Updated Lead Trigger correctly (e.g. during a Google Sheet integration), you need to include a new step. First, you search for the existing lead in the spreadsheet (preferably by Contact ID). Then, you have to update your lead with the data received from the Updated Lead Trigger.
