What this guide covers
This guide walks through the first setup jobs in Phase so your farm workspace is ready to use.
Phase works best when the map, paddocks, season, crop plans and inventory are connected. You can enter records manually, import existing files, or use a mix of both.
First check your farm and season
After signing in, Phase opens to Overview. New users may see a welcome setup prompt.
Before adding records, check:
The farm or organisation switcher is on the right workspace.
The year button in the header is on the season you want to work in.
You are using the correct web/mobile app account.
If records look missing later, check the selected farm and season first.
Customise Overview widgets
Overview widgets can be rearranged, resized and hidden, including livestock panels.
Open Overview.
Hold a widget until the layout starts to wiggle.
Drag it to a new position to reorder.
While editing, use a widget’s corner button to resize, or − to hide it.
Use Widgets next to Done to bring hidden widgets back, or reset to the recommended layout.
Add paddocks first
Go to More → Farms & Fields.
From here you can add land farms, add paddocks, draw boundaries, import boundaries, edit paddock names, split fields and merge fields.
If you only do one setup job first, add your paddocks. Most of Phase starts from the paddock map.
Open a paddock from the map
Go to Map, then tap a paddock.
That opens the paddock sheet. This is where you can review the plan, soil, yield, Notes, livestock and history for that paddock.
Build or import crop plans
To build manually:
Open desktop Plan, or mobile More → Planning & Imports → Crop Plan Studio.
Confirm the season and select one or more paddocks on the Studio map.
Assign the crop and variety where needed.
Select Add activity, enter the timing, products and rates, then review the staged change before applying it.
To reuse or copy a plan:
Build and check one paddock plan in Crop Plan Studio.
Select that paddock and open Actions.
Choose Copy this plan to other fields… for the same season, or Save plan as a template for later reuse.
Use the Studio Library to apply saved plans or activities to selected paddocks. Saved templates are also available from More → Templates.
To import a supported plan PDF:
Open More → Planning & Imports → Crop Plan Import.
Upload an Agworld Planned Season or Farm Performance report PDF.
Stay on the page while Phase reads the rendered report pages and checks the figures against the printed totals.
Confirm the report type and review the paddock matches. Match an existing paddock, create a new one, or skip it.
Confirm the import. Products are linked automatically where possible; an unmatched product can still be recorded with its printed name, rate and cost.
Manual planning is fully supported. You do not need to import a PDF to use Phase.
Add inventory and storage
Open Inventory to manage the shed in one place: chemicals, fertiliser, seed, fuel, parts and fluids, and grain and hay. The top sections are Products, Grain, Locations and Reconcile. On Products, category chips narrow the list, and a Machine filter plus Print list help with workshop parts.
If you are moving from another system, use Inventory → Import stock levels to review a CSV, Excel or PDF stock list and bring products and opening quantities across together.
When adding stock, choose the product, quantity, unit and storage location.
For chemical, fertiliser, fuel and workshop stores, open Inventory → Locations. For silos, grain sheds, hay sheds and stacks, open Inventory → Grain (writes still go through Grain & Hay Storage under More when you load in or out).
Connect machinery accounts if you use them
Open More → John Deere Operations Center.
After connecting, you can import fields from More → Farms & Fields → Import From John Deere.
Phase Ultra users can also review completed machine work from Inventory → Reconcile. Reconcile helps turn completed work into paddock records, plan completion and inventory adjustments.
Case IH, New Holland and STEYR farms can connect CNH FieldOps from More → Setup & Imports → CNH FieldOps, then use More → Farms & Fields → Import From CNH. CNH currently imports paddocks, boundaries and machine engine hours; it does not import completed work or yield maps.

Recommended setup order
Select the correct farm or organisation from the farm switcher.
Select the correct season using the year button in the header.
Add farms and paddocks in More → Farms & Fields.
Add or import crop plans.
Add inventory products, storage locations, grain structures and stock.
Connect John Deere Operations Center if your farm uses John Deere.
Add weather stations or rain gauges.
Invite team members or advisors.
