Q: What is a Passkey?
A Passkey is a biometric authentication feature that allows you to log in and verify withdrawals using face recognition or fingerprint, replacing traditional passwords and verification codes.
Q: What are the benefits of using a Passkey?
Once enabled, you no longer need to remember your password — simply use face or fingerprint to log in. It uses strong encryption to provide advanced anti-phishing protection, and automatically syncs across all your enabled devices with no extra setup required.
Q: Where can I set up a Passkey?
Go to the Pionex App: Pionex → Avatar (top-left) → Security → Passkey.
Q: What are the steps to set up a Passkey?
On the Passkey page, tap Create Passkey, then complete identity verification by entering your email, SMS, and Google Authenticator codes. Finally, authenticate with face or fingerprint to finish the setup.
Q: How does withdrawal verification change after enabling a Passkey?
You only need to complete a biometric scan (face or fingerprint) to verify withdrawals. You no longer need to enter your email, SMS, and Google Authenticator codes separately.
Q: Do I need biometric authentication every time I open the App?
No. Opening the App works the same as before. Passkey only applies during login verification and withdrawal.
Q: Is setting up a Passkey mandatory?
No. Passkey is an optional feature. You can continue using traditional verification codes for login and withdrawals without enabling it.
Q: Can I still use my Passkey after switching to a new phone?
Yes. As long as you sign in with the same Apple ID (iOS) or Google account (Android) on your new device, your Passkey will sync automatically with no need to set it up again.
Q: What are the prerequisites for using a Passkey?
Your account must have all three security verifications bound — phone number, email, and Google Authenticator — before you can use Passkey for withdrawals. If only two are bound, Passkey withdrawals will not be available.
Q: Can I create multiple Passkeys?
Yes. There is no limit to the number of Passkeys you can create.
Q: Is Passkey secure?
Your biometric data is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers. Strong encryption protects against phishing attacks, and even if someone obtains your account password, they cannot pass verification without your physical device.
Q: What should I do if Passkey setup fails?
First, make sure your App is updated to the latest version and try again. If the issue persists, please contact our support team and provide a screen recording so we can help troubleshoot.
