Clone Elements Template

How to clone or make a copy of an existing Elements template

Cloning an Elements template allows you to create a copy of an existing template without having to rebuild it from scratch. This is helpful when you want to reuse an existing template while making changes to the layout, formatting, or content. You will need Admin level permissions in order to clone a template.

Steps to Clone an Elements Template

  1. Navigate to your Elements App in Pitchly.

  2. From the Manage Template screen, open the template you would like to clone.

  3. Once inside the template, click the Clone template icon in the top-right corner of your screen.

  1. A copy of your existing template will be created, allowing you to make changes without affecting the original.

When to Clone a Template

Cloning templates is especially useful when:

  • Creating different versions of an existing document.

  • Updating layouts or formatting while preserving the original template.

  • Building new templates that share similar fields, content, or structure.

Tip: Rename your cloned template to make it easy for your team to distinguish between different versions.
