If someone else, like a co-parent, should also be able to manage your child's profile, you can invite them right from sign up.
On the "Link a Guardian" screen, read the explanation of what guardian access includes (they can make payments and respond to events on your child's behalf).
Enter the guardian's email address. PLAI checks it in real time, if they already have a PLAI account, you'll see "This email is on PLAI."
Tap Invite Guardian.
Note: This step is optional. If you'd rather not invite anyone right now, you can skip ahead and invite a guardian later from your Family Tree.
If the email you enter isn't registered on PLAI yet, an invitation is sent to that address so they can join and accept, rather than being added immediately.
FAQ
Does the guardian need a PLAI account already?
No, if their email isn't registered yet, they'll receive an invitation to join. See Accepting a Guardian Invitation as a New PLAI User for what happens on their end.
What can a guardian I invite actually do?
They can act on your child's behalf, including making payments and responding to events.
Can I invite more than one guardian?
A child can have multiple guardians. If you want to add more later, you can do that from your Family Tree rather than only during sign up.
