After your final details, PLAI asks whether you have children to add before finishing setup.
When asked "Do you have any children playing at this club?", select Yes or No, then tap Next.
If you select No, you'll skip straight ahead, no child details needed.
If you select Yes, a child information form appears, with a header that updates dynamically to show the child's name and age as you enter it.
Enter your child's first name, last name, and date of birth using the date picker.
Select their gender (Male or Female), or toggle Skip gender for now if you'd rather not decide yet.
Tap Next.
Note: Date of birth is checked to support club safeguarding practices, while gender helps with correct team assignment. PLAI provides a short explanation next to each field to explain why this information is requested. Gender is optional, so you can skip this section for now and add it later from your child’s profile.

Adding more than one child
Once you've finished a child's medical and emergency contact details, you'll reach a review screen where you can tap + Add another child to repeat this same process for each additional child.
Reviewing and completing your account setup
The last step of sign up is the "Ready to go?" summary screen.
Review each child you've added, shown with their calculated age.
Tap the edit (pencil) icon on a child to go back and correct their details, or the delete (trash) icon to remove them.
Tap + Add another child if you have more children to add.
Once everything looks right, tap Complete Set Up.
You'll see the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy links, agreement to these is implied by tapping Complete Set Up. A loading screen appears briefly with the animated message "strapping the boots..." while your account finishes setting up.
Note: If you haven't finished registration in one sitting, your progress is saved. You can resume an incomplete sign up rather than starting over.

What if I have children but don't want to add them yet?
You can select No here and add them later from your Family Tree once your account is set up.
Is there an age limit for adding a child?
Yes, PLAI checks that a child's age falls within the club's acceptable range (typically 4 to 18 years).
What if I made a mistake on a child's details before finishing setup?
On the review screen at the end, tap the edit (pencil) icon next to that child to go back and fix it, or the delete (trash) icon to remove them entirely.
Can I still make changes after I complete setup?
Yes, completed registrations can't be undone as a whole, but everything, your details, your children's profiles, guardians, and more, can still be edited afterward from your account.
What if I close the app partway through sign up?
Your progress is auto-saved periodically, so you can pick up roughly where you left off next time.
Is there a limit to how many children I can add here?
No hard limit is specified, you can keep tapping "+ Add another child" for as many as you need.
