How to Add Medical Information and Emergency Contacts During Sign Up

Step by step guide to adding your child's medical considerations and emergency contacts while creating your PLAI account.

After adding a child's basic details, PLAI walks you through their medical information and who to contact in an emergency.

Medical and safety information

  1. On the "Keeping [Child Name] safe in sport..." screen, select any medical considerations that apply from the list.

  2. If you select Something Else, a text field appears (up to 120 characters, with a live counter) to describe it.

  3. You'll see yourself automatically added as the first emergency contact, marked Primary.

Adding an emergency contact

  1. Tap + Add Another Emergency Contact if you want to add someone beyond yourself.

  2. In the modal, enter the contact's name, relationship, country code, and phone number.

  3. Optionally toggle Make Primary Emergency Contact if this person should be contacted first instead of you.

  4. Tap Add Emergency Contact.

The modal closes and the contact appears in the list with a "Primary" badge if applicable. You can repeat this to add as many contacts as you need.

Important: At least one emergency contact is required before you can continue. Only one contact can be Primary at a time, marking a new one Primary automatically removes that status from whoever had it before.

Once you're happy with everything, tap Confirm to move on.

FAQ

Do I have to add medical information?

Selecting a medical consideration isn't forced, but at least one emergency contact is required before you can proceed.

Can I select more than one medical consideration?

Yes, you can select as many as apply. No Medical Considerations is the only one that's mutually exclusive with the rest.

Why am I already listed as an emergency contact?

PLAI adds you automatically as the first contact and Primary by default, since you're the one setting up the account. You can add others and change who's Primary from here.
