Your Family Tree is where you manage the profiles of any children linked to your PLAI account.
From your account, navigate to your Family Tree. The screen title reads "[Your First Name]'s Family Tree," for example "Rachel's Family Tree."
Each child appears as a card showing their profile photo, full name, and a guardian count sub-label.
Tap a child's card to open their Child Profile screen.
Note: If a guardian you've invited hasn't accepted yet, the sub-label shows "X Guardian • X Guardian Pending" until they do. Once accepted, the pending label clears and the count updates.
What you'll see on a Child Profile screen
"[Child's First Name]'s Details" section, with an edit (pencil) icon. Gender and Birthday show as a two-column card layout, each with its own icon.
A medical/health information tile, if any medical data exists, showing an icon, condition title(s) (like "Allergies, ADHD"), and a description (like "Joe is allergic to grass.")
Linked Guardians, showing each confirmed guardian's name, relationship label (like "You" or "Mother"), and phone number. The "You" label only appears next to your own entry.
Emergency Contacts, showing each contact's name, relationship, phone number, and a yellow "Primary" badge on whichever one is marked primary.
Child's Documents, showing each document's thumbnail, title, date added, and sharing status (like "Shared with 2 clubs").
A "Delete [Child Name]" link at the bottom, in red.
Tap the + on any section (Linked Guardians, Emergency Contacts, Documents) to add to it, or tap an existing entry to view or edit it.
FAQ
What if I haven't added any children yet?
Your Family Tree shows an empty state introducing the feature, with a way to add your first child, rather than a blank screen.
Can someone else's PLAI account show the same child?
Yes. If a child has multiple guardians, each guardian sees the child's profile in their own Family Tree, all linked to the same underlying profile.
Are Linked Guardians and Emergency Contacts the same thing?
No, they're managed independently. The same person can be both, but adding someone as a guardian doesn't automatically make them an emergency contact, and vice versa.
