Understanding Your Settings Screen

A tour of PLAI's Settings screen, covering biometric login, and the Log Out and Delete Account actions.

Your Settings screen is where you manage account-wide preferences and security, separate from your profile details.

What you'll see

  • Enable Biometric Login — a toggle (yellow when on, grey when off) for Face ID or fingerprint sign-in. Only available if your device supports biometric authentication.

  • Privacy & Legal — see Viewing PLAI's Privacy & Legal Information.

  • Change Password — update your password without going through the forgot password flow. See How to Change Your Password from Settings.

  • Watch, Follow, Explore PLAI

  • Log Out

  • Delete Account

Every row except the biometric toggle has a chevron (›) and takes you to another screen when tapped.

Logging out

Tap Log Out, then confirm: "Are you sure you want to log out?" Confirming ends your session and returns you to the Login screen.

Note: Your version number (like "Version 3.0.0") is shown below Log Out and Delete Account, this is read-only and reflects your current app build.

FAQ

Why don't I see the Enable Biometric Login toggle?

It's only shown if your device supports biometric authentication (Face ID or fingerprint). On unsupported devices, it may be hidden or disabled.

Is my biometric setting tied to this device or my account?

It's stored per account, so it can carry meaning across devices, though it can only actually be used on devices that support biometrics.

Does changing my language on Settings affect anything else?

No, language applies to the whole app's interface, it doesn't touch your other settings or data.
