Why Can't I Log In or Reset My Password After the PLAI 3.0 Update?

What to do if you can't log in, Google login opens a blank account, or password reset emails aren't arriving after the PLAI 3.0 update.

If you have not been able to log in since the PLAI 3.0 update, or you are stuck trying to reset your password, here is what is happening and what to do.

Why this happens

When PLAI 3.0 launched, some existing accounts have not yet been fully reconnected. Two situations come up most often:

  • You try Continue with Google using the same Gmail address as your old PLAI account, but instead of opening your existing account, it opens a new, blank one with no club, groups, or schedule attached.

  • You use Forgot Password, but no reset email arrives.

Important: If Google login opens a blank account, do not carry on setting it up as a new account. This almost always means your original account has not been linked yet, not that your club data has been lost.

What to try

  1. Log in using the email address and password you used in the old app, rather than Google, if you remember them.

  2. If you do not remember your password, use Forgot Password with that same email address. Check your spam or junk folder for the reset email.

  3. If no reset email arrives after a few minutes, stop there rather than creating a new account. This means your account requires manual intervention.

  4. Email support@plaisport.com, or send a message our our help centre with your Name and the Email of the account you are trying to access. One of our support agents will be happy to assist.

FAQ

Why is the email field on my account blank and I can't edit it? This can happen when a Google login creates a separate account that has not been linked to your original one yet. Contact support so your original account and email can be restored.

I'm sure I'm using the right email. Why does it say it's not recognised? This is usually a sign your account needs to be manually reconnected after the update, rather than an issue with your device or password. Contact support with the email address you originally registered with.
