How to Log In with Apple

Step by step guide to signing in to PLAI using your Apple ID, including what "Hide My Email" does to your account.

  1. On the Sign In screen, tap Continue with Apple.

  2. Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device password when prompted.

  3. Choose whether to Share My Email or Hide My Email.

  4. Tap Continue.

You're returned to PLAI already signed in. If this is your first time, PLAI creates your profile using whichever email option you chose.

Important: If you choose Hide My Email, Apple generates a private relay address for your account instead of your real one. All communication still reaches your real inbox, Apple forwards it automatically, but you can't switch to your real email later. That choice is locked in for this account going forward.

Canceling or denying the Apple prompt simply returns you to the Sign In screen, nothing is created.

FAQ

Can I switch from Hide My Email to my real email later?

No, that choice is made once at sign-in and can't be changed afterward. You'd need to create a new account to use your real email instead.

What happens if I change my Apple ID password?

Apple will prompt you to re-authenticate the next time you sign in to PLAI, but it's handled entirely by Apple, nothing changes on the PLAI side.

Does PLAI see my real email if I choose Hide My Email?

No, PLAI only ever sees the relay address Apple generates.

What if I revoke PLAI's access in my Apple ID settings?

You'll need to sign in with Apple again to reauthorize, your existing session stops working immediately.

Is Apple Sign In available on Android?

It's available on iOS 13+ and macOS 10.15+. On older devices, the option won't appear.
