As soon as you finish creating your club, you land on the Club Page Admin tab and see your onboarding checklist instead of the usual dashboard. A progress card at the top shows how many of the 6 steps you have completed, along with a time estimate, for example "Let's go... · 16 min · Complete your club set up."
The 6 steps
Make It Yours – add your club logo and bio, and optionally invite other admins.
Set the Season – choose seasonal or rolling memberships and how members join.
Build Your Reg Form – set up the form members fill in when they join.
Sort Your Groups – create at least one group to organise your club.
Open Your Business – set up membership types and payments.
Call Them In – share your club code and QR code to invite members.
Steps 1 through 5 have no dependency on each other, so you can complete them in any order.
Note: Step 6, Call Them In, stays locked until steps 1 to 5 are all complete or skipped. If you tap it early, you will see: "Complete the steps above first."
How your progress is tracked
Your checklist progress is saved for the whole club, not just for you personally. That means if you invite another Full Admin partway through setup, they will see the exact same progress when they land on the Admin tab, and either of you can pick up any remaining step.
If you close the app and come back later, your progress is exactly where you left it. This is saved on PLAI's servers, so it also carries over if you switch devices.
Below the checklist, a dismissible walkthrough card offers a free 30-minute onboarding call. Once you dismiss it, it will not reappear automatically.
FAQ
Do I have to complete the steps in order?
No, for steps 1 to 5. You can tackle them in whatever order suits you. Step 6 is the only one with a hard dependency, since it needs the other 5 done or skipped first.
What happens once all 6 steps are done?
The checklist disappears and is replaced by your club's full Admin dashboard, along with a "Your club is open for business!" celebration banner.
Can I go back and change something after a step is marked complete?
Yes. Every completed step shows an edit icon so you can update it without losing your overall checklist progress.
