If you have family members linked to your account, you can respond for all of them from the same event card or event detail screen, without opening each person separately.
Responding for the family
Tap Respond on the event.
A picker opens showing yourself and every linked family member associated with that event.
Select a family member, choose their response, and the sheet stays open so you can move on to the next person.
Repeat until everyone you want to respond for has been answered.
Each person's response is saved independently, so it's fine to answer Going for one child and Maybe for another.
How payment works, if the event has a fee
What happens next depends on the event's fee timing:
Pay when responding: once everyone in the picker has answered, anyone who said Going is grouped into a single combined payment screen. You pay once for all of them together. Anyone who said Maybe or Not going isn't included and isn't charged.
Pay on selection or pay after attending: no payment screen appears at all after responding. Each family member's payment is triggered independently later, only for those who are actually selected or marked attended.
No fee: nothing to pay, ever.
Note: If a family member's payment fails as part of a combined transaction, only that person is marked Overdue. It doesn't affect anyone else's response or payment status.
FAQ
I only have 1 child linked. Does this still work the same way?
Yes, the picker just shows 2 people instead of 3 or more, you and your child, and the same rules apply.
Can my child respond for themselves instead of me doing it?
That depends on whether they have their own PLAI account and are old enough to manage their own responses. If they don't, you'll need to respond on their behalf.
