Overview
Categories in Platter allow you to organize similar menu items into logical groups, such as Appetizers, Curries, Drinks, or Desserts. These categories help structure your menu, improve staff navigation on the POS, and support clean reporting.
Each menu item must be assigned to a category so it appears correctly on the POS and routes to the appropriate kitchen or bar printer if configured. Categories can be created, edited, assigned to items, or deleted at any time.
