Filtering the order list

Overview

This article explains how to filter the Orders List in Platter POS. Filters let you narrow down the visible orders by booking type and status, so you can quickly find the ones you need. Once applied, the Orders List will display only the orders that match your selected filters.

Prerequisites

  • The user must have access to the Orders module in the POS.

  • POS must be synced with the latest order updates

Steps

1. Open the Filter Options

  1. Go to the Orders screen on the POS.

  2. Tap the Filter button at the top of the Orders List.

  3. The filter pop-up will appear.

2. Apply Filters

A. Booking Type

Choose which type of orders you want to view:

  • All Orders

  • Dine-In

  • Takeout

  • Delivery

Selecting one will update the Orders List to show only orders from that category.

B. Status

Filter orders based on their current state:

  • All

  • Open - displayed with a green dot.

  • Closed - displayed with a grey dot

Open = active order

Closed = paid/finalized receipt

3. View Updated Results

  • Tap anywhere outside the filter popup to close it.

  • The Orders List will instantly refresh to match your filter selection.

Troubleshooting

Orders not appearing

  • Check if the correct Booking Type is selected.

  • Confirm the Status filter isn't restricting results (e.g., only Open).

Closed orders missing

  • Make sure Closed (grey dot) is selected under Status.

Filters still applied after logging out.

  • Tap the Filter button, then tap Clear to remove all filters.

Unexpected results

  • Reopen the filter pop-up to verify nothing was selected accidentally.
