📅 Calendar & Blocked Slots

An interactive command center for your schedule: create, block, and sync, all in one view.

Written by Bojan Dosljak

Who this is for: studio operators (admin panel) · Plan: all plans · Product: Podyx V2

The calendar is not just a read-only view of what is booked. It is the interactive command center for your whole schedule: you can see everything, create new bookings and blockers right inside it, and keep it in two-way sync with Google Calendar.

🗓 Views built to read at a glance

Admin Panel → Calendar. Switch between Week, Day, and Month. The Month view is color-coded by how busy each day is, so your busy and quiet days jump out instantly (perfect for spotting where to run a promotion). Week and Day give you the detail, with a Show buffers toggle to see the gaps kept between sessions, room color-coding with a legend, and filters for User sessions, Admin sessions, and Studio tours.

✋ Create right in the calendar

The calendar is interactive. Straight from it you can create a booking, record a bundle purchase, or add a slot blocker, and click any existing booking to reschedule, cancel, or adjust add-ons. You run the day from one screen rather than jumping between pages.

🔄 Two-way Google Calendar sync

Connect Google Calendar and it works both ways: Podyx bookings appear in Google, and events you add in Google block that time in Podyx so clients cannot book over your outside commitments. (See Connect Google Calendar.)

🛑 Blocking out time

Admin Panel → Blocked Slots (or block directly on the calendar). Mark time a room should not be bookable: maintenance, a private session, a day off. Blocked time is removed from public availability and sits on your calendar alongside real bookings, each with a label (for example "busy" or "Team meeting") so you remember why.

💡 Give a blocker an end time and it releases itself automatically, perfect for temporary holds you would otherwise forget to remove.

🧠 Why it matters

One interactive, color-coded, two-way-synced calendar means you manage your entire operation from a single place, spot busy and slow days at a glance, and never double-book against your own life.

✅ Summary

The calendar shows everything, lets you create bookings, purchases, and blockers in place, color-codes the month by how busy it is, and syncs both ways with Google.
