To begin, ensure the box Allow customers to purchase this product when it's out of stock is checked in Shopify for each product and variant you want to enable for pre-order.

In the main menu, click on All Products.

Check the box Enable pre-order for all products using Default Settings. This will enable pre-order for all of your products using your Default Settings.

Click Save.
