Once a studio requests a quote on specific products, the project's Overview page shows it as an action item, "Quote requested: [products]" - with a Quote button that takes you straight to Add your quote.
Responding to a quote request
The Add your quote screen lists every product the studio asked about, with the quantity, and lets you fill in, per line:
Field | What it does |
RRP | The recommended retail price. Enter this first - trade price and discount are calculated from it. |
Trade price | What you're actually charging the studio. Enter it directly and the discount is calculated for you, or leave it blank and enter a discount instead. |
Discount | Pick a percentage from the dropdown (No discount, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, or Custom to type your own) and the trade price is calculated for you, or leave it blank and enter the trade price instead. Whichever one you fill in, the other updates automatically. |
Lead time | A dropdown of preset ranges from In stick to 24-26 weeks (in two-week increments) - set this per product. |
Line total | Trade price × quantity, updates live as you type. |
Add product, is for suggesting something the studio didn't originally ask about, and whether you can use it depends on what the designer's given you access to: if that permission isn't turned on, the button is greyed out with a note that you don't have permission to add new products. A new product can be added manually, via a URL or by selecting an existing product you've already added to your product library. Product Library only works if you're signed in and have already saved products - guests and first-time suppliers won't have anything to choose from yet.
You can also Add fee (delivery, installation, etc.) from the top-right of the table.
The Est. value range at the top of the page updates as you fill in prices, so you and the studio both have a running sense of the total before you send anything.
Adding more detail
The more complete a product's details are, the more useful the quote is to the designer receiving it. Click Edit on any line - or open Add product for a new one - to fill in the rest: name, description, SKU, lead time, product URL, brand, optional product labels, and a Specifications section (height, width, depth, length, colour, finish, material, product category, plus Add spec for anything custom).
Review and send
Clicking Review and send takes you to a summary: total products, quote total, total RRP and total discount, and who the quote is going to (the designer's name, role and contact details, so you can confirm you're sending it to the right person).
From here you can optionally add:
A message to the designer, a short note is usually enough (e.g. flagging a substitution or a longer-than-usual lead time).
A valid until date, useful for prices that are time-sensitive.
Attachments, spec sheets, tear sheets or anything else that supports the quote.
Clicking Send to designer submits it immediately, so fill in the message and date first if you want them included, there's no separate confirmation step. You'll land on a confirmation screen ("Your quote is now with [Studio]") that explains what happens next: the designer reviews it, you'll get an email and in-app notification when they respond, and if you need to make changes afterwards you can update the products and resend.
The designer may be comparing your quote against others they've requested for the same products, so it's normal not to hear back straight away. If they have questions about your pricing or specs, they'll reach out directly; otherwise there's nothing more for you to do until they respond.
