Making an Activity Billable

Activity billable

An activity can be marked as billable so that worked time is converted into an invoice item.

How to Configure It

  1. Enable the Billable option.

  2. Select a product.

How Billing Works

Worked time becomes a quantity on the invoice.

Example:

  • 1 hour worked

  • = 1 unit of the selected product

Tip: This option is commonly used for labor and service billing. The calculation is always 1-to-1, and it is not possible to define a minimum billable labor quantity.

Disabling an Activity

An activity can be disabled if it is no longer used.

Effects of Disabling

  • The activity can no longer be selected.

  • Existing time entries remain visible.

  • The activity can be reactivated later if needed.

Time Entry Types and Custom Fields

Activities can be linked to time entry types.

What Is the Purpose?

  • Add custom fields.

  • Capture structured information.

  • Adapt time entries to your organization's internal processes.

Pro Tip: Refer to the Types section to configure custom fields.
