Cockpit view was introduced almost a year ago, but we feel that sometimes the users do not use it at full power.
This overview is supposed to give you an insight into its features and help you make the most out of it.

Cockpit purpose

The cockpit provides an overview of your warehouse situation and allows you to filter out orders by different parameters

Hint: open the Cockpit to see the number of orders in different states

Cockpit can filter out the orders by different parameters:

  • Date

  • Product

  • Number of ordered items

  • Number of ordered SKUs (single/multiple)

  • Shipping method

Use Case 1

You see that one of the products is extremely high, and most of the orders contain only 1 item. You would like to quickly pick and ship these orders.

To quickly create the pickings for the top product, take a look at the bottom part of the cockpit and select either "Single sku orders Single quantities" or "Single sku orders".

It will allow you to instantly filter out 372 or even 426 orders which is almost 70% of orders in the queue! Then a batch picking can be created to pick the items and ship them out.

Use Case 2

You know the orders with a certain delivery method are picked up once a week, and you would like to start picking them immediately to be on time before the truck arrives later today.

To quickly filter out the orders by shipping method, use the shipping method filter, and then filter the orders using the method described in Use Case 1.

Use case 3

You would like to do a cart picking for the single-SKU orders with a total quantity of items of more than 5. You also know that some SKUs are out of stock, so the orders containing them are to be excluded from pickings

Ok, this is already getting interesting! Let's do a multi-step filtering.

First of all, open a cockpit to filter out 89 orders with more than 5 items.

Now, when our orders are filtered by quantity, you can apply extra filters to remove the orders with missing items:

  • Click the FILTER button in the top bar

  • Activate Filter by SKU checkbox

  • Select Filter orders not containing a certain product option

  • Add SKUs you would like to exclude from pickings (you can add several of them)

  • Click APPLY FILTERS to let some magic happen.

Voila! I got 76 orders and created several cart-picking tasks for them.

Keep in mind that multiple filters can be applied in the FILTER view, making the combination of Cockpit and Filters a powerful tool to filter your sales orders.
