Today, we're delighted to give you the ability to filter your content on CORE.
This is a huge update that many of you have been eagerly waiting for, so let's take a look at some of the ways in which you can leverage filtering to transform your content analysis and extract useful insights.
1. Keyword Filtering
In the Basic filters you can now easily isolate posts containing specific keywords, hashtags or phrases. And if you’re feeling particularly advanced, you can even create a boolean expression to zoom in on specific posts!
For example, as a fashion brand, say you only want to look at certain posts you or your competitors have pushed out during a campaign: you would type in “Spring 2018” AND “skirts” OR “Dresses” and isolate all the posts that match this query. Easy!
What does this mean for you? For one, easier content tagging.
Instead of having to manually go through each post, filtering by keywords means you can now turn your results section into the ideal mass tagging environment. Want to mass tag all your posts from a particular campaign? Just filter for the campaign or hashtag you’ve been using in your content and you’ll be able to apply the same tag to every post in one go.
2. Filtering by Tags
Now what's the use of tagging if you can't filter by tags? Right?!
Again, we've got you covered in that aspect. After you're done with your mass tagging as noted above, you can now use those same tags to again filter your posts.
You can even use every area of the Content section to zero in on a tag's performance overtime - effectively creating 3x more analysis!
3. Split out your Paid Content
Since we launched our owned channel analytics, we know you’ve been wanting the ability to filter by organic, paid or in the case of Facebook, dark posts; we heard you and are thrilled to finally help you do just that. Now you can see out of all of your paid content which received the highest level of engagements, or the worst.
This is a particularly useful features when it comes to looking at your impressions figures, in order to see just how many of those impressions you generated were from your paid activity and which were organic.
4. Choose your Media Type
We understand that with all the various formats you need for each social channel, sometimes you want to focus on one specific media type.
For example, we know that understanding how your videos have performed compared to your images, and splitting these out rather than looking at your content as a whole, is something that many of our clients have been asking.
With filtering, you can now change the dashboard view to focus on each media type (Text, Links, Images, Videos) and, as with tagging, see the breakout of the aggregated metrics in the creative tab and utilize the analysis of the entire content section. Thats another 3x worth of analysis for you!
And if you decide you want to compare your content with a competitor, that filter will be applied across their content too. Now you can create an 'Images' filter to extract and compare your top performing image posts directly with theirs.
5. Split out your Stories
Finally, it’s an area of Instagram our clients love to use and one which deserves more granular analysis. So we’re enabling you to split out Instagram stories from your other posts and focus solely on their performance, using filtering!
Now you can see in much more detail how your stories have performed over time, and which are doing best.
As soon as you click into the content section on any profile on CORE, you'll notice that clicking on the date range now opens up an entirely new interface that looks very reminiscent of the filters we have on TRAC.
And one final filtering feature we've emulated from TRAC, filtered exports. You'll notice that if you filter CORE and download a 'current profile' or dashboard graph export, that export data will also be filtered.
