This article will walk you through how to use Pulsar SEARCH as well as outline what functionality is available to supercharge your search experience in Pulsar.
How to use keyword search
The keyword search field experience is universal and familiar - you can enter keywords and simple boolean expressions, and search for keywords that appear in the title and body of a media item, or search for keywords that appear in the title only. Below are some guidelines to keep in mind when performing a keyword search:
First and foremost, the keyword search area is not case sensitive.
Use uppercase AND operator to search for keywords in AND for example if you are looking for media coverage about Anthony Albanese, you can enter Anthony AND Albanese in the search field.
Use uppercase OR operator to search for keywords in OR, for example if you are looking for media coverage about the Emmys or the Oscars, you can enter Emmys OR Oscars in the search field.
Use uppercase AND NOT to exclude keywords or phrases that might bring in irrelevant content, for example if you are looking for media coverage about the Emmys and the Oscars, but you want to exclude any coverage about specific films, you can enter (Emmys OR Oscars) AND NOT Barbie in the search field.
Only keyword searches are supported. By default we search in both the title and body for content that matches the specified keywords.
If 'Search in title only' is enabled, we will search in the title only, for content that matches your specified keywords.
