Last year, we introduced Instant Alerts, the perfect solution for providing users with real-time notifications for crisis management and time-sensitive content. With Instant Alerts, users could receive alerts via email or mobile, within minutes of content being published online, ensuring timely and efficient responses to critical events. But the initial release was limited - providing alerts only for Global Online News and APAC Broadcast and limited to English and basic boolean syntax.

Today, we are excited to announce that we have significantly enhanced our Instant Alerts capabilities! We now support multiple languages, additional data sources, and wildcard queries. These additional enhancements ensure that you now receive comprehensive alerts ranging from global media coverage to various social media sources such as X and Facebook. You now also have greater flexibility to refine your alert filters, allowing you to stay informed with the most relevant real-time media updates

Full List of Features Available in Instant Alerts

Crisis Management Capabilities

Instant Alerts are designed to support crisis management efforts. Organizations can set up customized instant alerts based on specific keywords, media outlets or geographic regions. This enables proactive monitoring of potential crises, ensuring that relevant stakeholders are promptly notified and can make informed decisions.

Low Latency Notification Delivery

Instant Alerts leverage cutting-edge technology to provide near real-time notifications. Whether it's breaking news, mentions of key topics, or crisis-related coverage, users will receive alerts via email or mobile, within minutes of content being published online. This ensures that organizations stay informed and can respond swiftly to emerging situations.

🌟 Multi-Language Support (v2)

Instant Alerts now cater to a diverse audience with support for over 20 languages, including Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese, amongst others. Clients can now specify their preferred languages as a filter in Instant Alerts, ensuring they receive alerts tailored to their needs.

🌟 Wildcard Operators (v2)

Enhancing flexibility, wildcard operators allow clients to receive alerts based on various keyword notations. This feature streamlines the alert setup process, eliminating the need to add each keyword variation individually.

🌟 Expanded Data Source Support (v2)

Instant Alerts now support all data sources in Pulsar except for Instagram. Users can now receive alerts across various data sources such as Global Broadcast, Print News, and various social media such as X and Facebook, via the filters in Instant Alerts. A full list of data sources has been added below. Instagram support will follow shortly, so stay tuned for more updates.
