Why objectives and activities?

Now that you created your plan(s), you can begin with creating your objectives.

It is important to set clear objectives and link them to specific activities and sub-activities.

OKR (Objective & Key Results) is a tool for organizations to set and measure goals. It involves defining specific objectives and identifying the key results needed to achieve them. OKRs help track progress, align teams, and achieve desired outcomes.

Pro tip: If you're still curious about how to set good objectives and activities in accordance with OKR, we made an e-book about it. Check it out here!

We believe using the Objectives & Key Results (OKR) methodology is the optimal approach when setting up objectives and activities. Briefly put, this means that:

  • Every objective should be measurable ("What do you want to achieve?")

  • Every activity has to be actionable ("How are you going to achieve it?")

📽️ You can find a video at the end of this article explaining more in detail how to create, edit and delete an objective!

1. Create, edit and remove objectives / (sub)activity

First of all, why create objectives / (sub)activities? It's important to create these OKRs in a Qollabi plan because they give your team direction and ensure everyone is working towards the same goal. They help measure progress and success, so you can adjust and stay on track to achieve your desired outcomes.

Creating an objective / (sub)activities is structured as follows:

  • Objective's or (sub)activity's name

  • Description of OKR: extra information you would want to display

  • Duration: start date/end-date

  • Milestone: to report in the chosen frequency

  • Target unit: in euro, personal unit, percentage, or completion

  • Milestone target: The amount that needs to be reached for the objective at the end of each milestone

  • Global company target: The total amount that needs to be reached for the objective

  • Responsible type: The team/user responsible for the objective

  • Tags: Tags are a way to categorize objectives together

  • You can also activate or deactivate the custom objective fields available in the environment (due date, signature, launch date)
